Getting to know Mrs. Maasch~

Family

My name is Anika Maasch (as of recent) because I just got married on September 6th 2025! I am from here in Grand Rapids, I am the youngest of the four, and I have two brothers and a sister. All of my siblings I am very close with! We grew up homeschooled and my dad is the pastor of Calvery Chapel North Woods. So being a pastor family and homeschooled made for a lot of closeness with my family! So family is a very important and a high priority to me. 

Education and Experience

I went to Grand Canyon University (GCU) for my bachelors in elementary education, and also got a minor in short term missions! I got both these degrees because I thought it would be a very cool opportunity to use a teaching degree on the mission field overseas! And I did get to do that for a small amount of time teaching in Africa last summer! But now am here in Rapids & married so starting to teach locally!

Interests and Hobbies

My hobbies basically include anything being active or outside! I love sports, especially volleyball and ultimate frisbee. But you can definitely catch me playing a lot of pickleball, spike ball, and also running, as well as the gym! I also LOVE hiking & swimming 

But I would say my most favorite thing to do is travel!

Favorite Scripture(s)

My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 1:6! It’s been a foundation verse for me and my testimony. Constant reminder of Gods faithfulness!
